‘Tom the piano man’ delivers!
This is how community works! Holly (budding artist and crafter) introduced Tom (vocal coach and local singing celebrity) to Maggie (artist with studio at Cambrian in Oswestry).
Maggie sadly lost her much loved Mum recently, and mentioned to Tom that she would love to find a new home for her mum’s treasured piano.
Tom is one half of the Trebletones voice coaching team (alongside Amy)- the new youth vocal group who rehearse in the Memorial Hall on Friday evenings.
Cut forward 1 week and Tom and Paul set off to Maggies to collect the piano and install it in its new home - the lounge at OMH.
Already proving a favourite with old and young alike, the piano is a fantastic catalyst for connecting, socialising and jamming! What a lovely way for Maggie’s mum’s piano to bring joy to a whole new family of players. Thank you so much Maggie, and for Tom for literally being the “Piano Man who Delivers”
The lovely Jood from the Climate Action Hub is seeing if she can find some help to restore the piano stool too. Don’t you just love Oswestry’s community.
You’ll hear Tom at OMH Tuesday and Friday afternoons doing his 1:1 singing lessons, and from 630pm to 730pm on Fridays when he teams up with Amy to lead the amazing Trebletones.
